Check SSL certificates with SSL Labs

Not only how you deploy your certificates is important, but also how you configure your web-, email- or whatever-server is important. Certificates will be used for various authentication protocols and every client might speak another language. But be careful, malicious actors might want to trick you and try to lower the boundary by simply lying. SSL Labs helps you finding weak spots and it can even tell you what devices will have issues to connect to your hosts.

This is my result. It got graded an A which is definitely not my achievement. Its a simple NGINX and Let’s Encrypt out of the box experience, though there is some room for improvement. You can tell by the orange and red colored entries. I’ll let you know if I gained further insights in what to change with NGINX to push the score up to 100%.
